My First Bread part 2

Ok, let's continue last night story.

Honey, this is how u gonna make a simple basic bread using my Tesco Breadmaker. Easy recipe given by a Malay colleague sitting beside me.

4 cups flour
1.5 cups water
2 tablespoons of  oil
2 tablespoons of sugar
1.5 teaspoons of salt
1.5 teaspoons of yeast

Remember***
Put all the WET ingredients FIRST.

I started with the water first, then oil, then sugar, then salt...

My coll said, the yeast will be "killed" by the salt @_@

if put them together***

so everybody pls take note!
Later dont blame the breadmaker if your bread tak jadi ah ^_^

My coll said she used to use this brand of yeast, claimed to be the best oo
mauripan yeast
So after I threw in the salt, I believe it will dissolve very fast in the water.
Then I covered everything with the flour.
And lastly put the yeast on top of it.

Lastly then only you put the yeast yea***
Hopefully the yeast will never get in contact any salt.

All in.

Then, turn on the breadmaker and press START. I didnt press to choose any other menu, i just follow the pre-set BASIC menu ( NUMBER1 )

breadmaker start to work very hard \(^_^)/

That's all and R.E.L.A.X!

So, i went to do my own things while breadmaker busying kneading & rest & bake....

all by itself !!!

Lihai right? Amazing right? Hahaha

After two hours, i think it's finally time to bake now @_@

You can see the risen dough now.

Voila!

my first breadbread
Looks nice right? Let the bread pan cool down first. After a while, then u can take it out.
removing the bread pan
It came out like this @_@!!!
See a hole in the middle? Tht's because of the kneading paddle lorr... why alot of air bubbles ahh??
 The ugly backside

The first bread, phewwitt ^_^

my first loaf of bread ^_^

Enough with the picture shooting, I quickly went to sleep last night. Very tired.

Ohh yea, I did wait the pan to cool down and wash it very gently and left it to dry.
He he he  - new toy mah ^_^
Didn't use any dishwashing liquid, cuz it's not really oily. The non stick surface is good. All clear.

This morning, no time to examine the bread also, I quickly prepared and went to sch.

After sch... Hah... now is the time to check properly my first bread.

As you can see, the surface has collapsed a bit ya...
Grab it and cut it as u like hahaha

Honey, hmmm......  i think i need bread slicer and a bread knife ya ^_^
So that i can cut it evenly and nicely haha

Phewwiitt!!!!!!!!!
bigger than my palm OMG!!!
8 slices only LOL
the hole is because of the kneading paddle
hmm? did i read somewhere that i need to take out the paddle before baking?
more pictures
my friend said she wants 2 slices only,
i told her 2 slices is this thick!!
when u fold half... it breaks into two @_@
Texture wise, it's just normal normal... not as soft as the famous G brand bread.
Smell? NOT nice at all, too much of floury smell hmmm.... yucks

Anyway, this first bread is not for eat, experiment only. I admit i m a bit particular in this. I used to throw away everything i cook for the first time, with a new machine. Somemore i forget to wash the pan :P

Wanna do an experiment, see how long this bread can last, until the first mole comes out? 3 days?

kept in a Tupperware container

*** while writing these, actually I'm waiting for another bread.

See? It's good right?

It's like, i throw in all the ingredients and say bye bye...
see you later ya Bready ^_^

Hokkaido Bread, 29 mins to go!!!
*** Pls check on my next post, i will tell more about the Hokkaido bread, which has very good reviews!
