Chicken Floss

Honey, to make the expensive chicken floss is one of the reasons I buy the breadmaker. Be it chicken floss or watever floss... they are seriously NOT cheap especially during cny season! 500g for RM50 maybe?

So i was thinking, if I can make it myself, I'm indirectly or can say I'm directly help u save a lot of  $$  haha ^_^

This is the recipe I got from the Internet...
Recipe:
400g chicken meat without bone
3tablespoon Fish sauce
7tablespoon sugar
2tablespoon soy sauce
3tablespoon water

Marinate it. Put in the tesco breadmaker n press 9 (jam). Must watch fire. If not fry until golden col. Press it for second time. Turn off once it become dry enough or golden col.


So, I went to Jusco and bought some chicken breast
this was about 500g of chicken breast meat

Boil it.
chicken breasts in hot boiling water
more than an hour, the water turn into savoury stock later
Shred it.
shredded chicken, easy job
and just put everything into the breadmaker.
3 tablespoons of osyter sauce cuz i cant find fish sauce
1 spoonfull of dark soy sauce
5 tablespoons of sugar is around 60g but i used only 3/4
 3 tablespoons of chicken stock instead of water, but i used a little bit only
Turn on the breadmaker. 

Set MENU : 9 JAM


Press START & RELAX.
It's SO EASY right?



For the first 20 mins, the bm was not moving at all... i was worried cuz,
I actually didn't do much research on this thing. 

So, I opened the lid and give them a stir myself hahaha

Thank goodness, the pan after heating up for like 20 mins, the kneading paddle start to move yippee!!!

But it's moving so differently like previous kneading process @_@


so slowwwwwww.... like once in a 5 seconds interval

After 1 hour 20 mins, i followed wat the sifus in the fb group said,
Press menu 9 JAM 
for the second time

So this wat i get after 2 hours and 40 mins

My First Breadmaker Chicken Floss

Taste wise
Hmmm, nothing special i think. A bit salty cuz i add in some salt too during the stir fry process, cuz i tasted and it was sweet at first. Next time should add in some chili powder to make it spicy haha

*****Tips*****
1. Do not add the 3 tablespoons of water/chicken stock. It slower the drying process
2. Do not shred the breast meat too fine, cuz after that it will become even more fine like powder.

How many grams?
I think it's about 300g only @_@

Total Disaster Buns

Honey...today was a disaster @_@

I went back home happily for bread making. And I "gay-kiang" , pannai pannai modified the bread recipe myself hahaha I must be too-much-over-confident that I thought all my bread will be successful haha

Anyway something bad happenned when I reached home and I was VERY VERY VERY ANGRY!
Believe me, I felt like killing people. I dunno who put my Breadmaker's manual to a wet place & u see wat happen to the booklet @_@

When it dried, the papers will stick together like this...

Stick together... glued
and when I forced open... 

GONE!!!!!!!!!!
ALL GONE!!!!!!!!!!!
MY ONLY ONE and  THE ONLY ONE manual booklet is now GONE!

OBVIOUSLY I WAS STILL VERY VERY VERY ANGRY that I started to cin-cai-ly measure the ingredients...

Suppose to be... 
270 g of bread flour, i put 277 g

Suppose to be... 
15 g milk powder, i put 17 g

Suppose to be... 
75 g whip cream, i put 95 g

Then i put less milk also...
Supposing is 125 g, i put 105 g
( 125 - 20 g from the whip cream = 105 g )


Yeah, i dunno wat happen to me, i was just very unhappy~

Cin Cai ingredients of course come out with a cin cai bread lar...
Well, i always thought a lil bit of difference is ok wat~ cehh

Another thing, maybe it's the first day of my aunty's visit, so it's NOT suitable to do baking??

I was actually expecting for a failed bread, especially after the booklet incident that make me so frustrated. Huh!

So this is the outcome. I took out the dough after one and half hour of kneading and proofing by the breadmaker machine and I tried to make it into buns.

I remember i read somewhere that you must put some flour on the surface so that it won't stick. That's why u see the purple cover of my Tupperware was flour-ly.

Next i gonna cut it?

apparently, it was also sticky to the knife!!

I'm not gonna cut the dough on this eh? Siao ah! This is my new Tupperware man!

So, I transferred the dough to the chopping board. And tried cut it.

Argggghhhh!

I just grabbed some flour, coated my palm with it and anyhow shape the sticky dough into anything lar..

Earlier honey, you see... I bought these colourful cupcakes, so that I can put my buns on it.

To create a warm environment for them, i heat up the oven for like 30 seconds and quickly turn off.

AWWW........... actually they're very BOUNCY AND SOFT
Awwww... I didn't mean to bake you all like this @_@
I thought if i turn on the oven for a while, so that it's warmer inside and you all can rise faster!
Awwww.... it's 250 degree Celsius Oh my God!!!
And I was busy washing the small bowls and i FORGOT...... and you all are almost BURNT!!! 
HOW COME I AM SO ABSENT-MINDED!



Never give up! 

I cut the burnt top & put the buns back into the oven. 

i brushed some egg yolk on the top, like how i bake my biscuits ^^
150 degree Celcius, 20 mins
Pengggzzzzzzzzzz
awwwwwww.......... charred

I took one of the buns and cut it into half. It was still wet inside the burnt-bun @_@

So i cut off the burnt top again,

and sent them into the oven again...
 awww... my bun buns left only half-bun by now


The result?

...........D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R..........

I threw all of them and turned my hope to the another tray.... 
where all of the buns had collapsed and became like "old grandma-s" with their wrinkled skin @_@

150 degree Celsius, 20 mins 
middle still uncooked, i wonder why
put back to the oven, bake for another 10 mins,
130 degree Celsius
Still uncooked in the middle!
Totally cannot make it!

By the other hand, luckily my breadmaker 肉松 can be considered ok. At least it's edible.
