The Power of Praises

Honey,

despite having another exam tmr, I must keep a record of today's event. It's really heartwarming and I think I won't forget until the rest of my life! Haha

Honey, this sem, 我最大的领悟是:

《The Power of Praises》

Actually, 我也不是一个从来不称赞学生的老师，偶尔也会称赞一下我的学生(只是每次都教后面班，他们如果有交我的功课就已经算是很不错了); 比如我的PBSM学生，我每次都称赞她们说: 你们这班是最棒的! 你们办事，老师放心! 是非常放心哦~

但，我从不知道，也没有想过 她们听了之后会有何感想~

Hmmm, 直到现在我自己做回了学生了，才真正feel 到,

Wahhh... 原来老师称赞你，是多么多么多么的爽!Haha

我这个lecturer, Dr. Yeo, 是一名很出名的lecturer哦~

她是我们的 coordinator (好像是很厉害的post，就是管完全部related to Educational Psychology的吧) When你一讲到她, everybody knows her~

So, maybe because of her high position, I have this extra respect  towards her and 不知不觉 I dunno since when i develop a some sort of 怕怕 feeling towards her. I feel like she must be a damn strict lecturer and maybe she is fierce too. Huhu

In the begining of the semester, the first few lessons with her, honey you know... I'm so 可怜 T_T

You know, I don't even have a single friend in the class and nobody sit with me T_T Huhuhu

So, I always have to sit in the first row, alone and have to face her directly - face to face like that Wow. So 恐怖 everytime she is just in front of me, you know.

Luckily, your kepo wifey is good at meeting new people and that's how I met Sj & Cy ^_^ 

So, back to this Dr. Yeo, she speaks very good English, clear enough and sometimes she tells some jokes that make all of us burst into laughter hahaha

You know what she always say; everything you don't know, don't ask me, ask Google. Hahaha and she called Google = Mahaguru, which means something like 神啊! That knows everything! Haha

I really like her style and admire her and her charisma~

One of her assignments is to summarize a 40-pages-text into 8 pages of notes.

Wahh say hard not hard, say easy not easy.

You really got to spend time reading & summarizing & make conclusion & plan how you present the notes in tables and yahh I am super love to do that! 

and you know how enthusiastic i am when it comes to do things that i like to do ^_^

Spent 3 days and nights to do that 8 pages you know that ^_^ 

and it's just 10 marks. Sorry, is 5 marks, because we need to do two sets.

Honey, you remember when we went to Sydney that day during the sch holiday and I have no choice but to skip classes and remember those photocopy papers that I brought along with me in-flight? Sorry, add burden to your backpack only hahaha

Thought that i would read during the long flight but ended up both of us sleeping like pigs throughout the flight haha too tired.

Those are the 40 pages text that I need to summarize lahh

Hah, because of that trip, I didn't do anything until we came back then only I started to do the pre reading notes. End up i submitted to her my work late Friday night pheww

赶到半死在那个礼拜交，后来才知道，还有人比我更迟交 哈哈

Coincidently, the topic i did is about special needs children and ngam ngam I just got the offer to transfer to SPED and that's really a good opportunity for me to study about their characteristics first and learn how to teach them.

不要以为我的老师没有看email hor, she actually replied my email oo... don't play play haha

After that, u remember I told u that she showed our works to the whole class and commented one by one? Having our works presented in front of the class, I feel really proud of my work hehe

When i told Ah Mong, she said, we have the common personality, that is the tendency of feeling proud of our ownself which is a good thing I think ^_^ haha

Many people may not realise their own strength, not to say feeling proud of themselves lor~

There is another girl in my class, wahhhh she really did a good notes and I must admit that hers is better than mine and Dr. Yeo praised her and said that her pre notes was definitely 10 marks woohoo and I encoded that in my brain. I told myself, for pre reading notes 2, I must do as good as that girl too and I want to get 10 marks also. Full marks!

Haha Dr Yeo also praised mine, she said mine was good too, well organised but need to get a better picture for the Down Syndrome characteristics. She is so good that she gave us chance to edit our works.

Honey, Dr. Yeo really motivated me alot!

That’s why, the first thing i did during the study week; when the sch holiday started was, spending 4 days and night to read & summarized another 40-pages-text into 8 pages of notes.

This time I do even better, spent more efforts by using more colours and better shapes.

Honey, you know I sibeh carefully chose my colours, because Dr. Yeo said she dun want to see big glaring red circle haha.

Mr. H did that I think hahaha

Hmm, talking bout this Mr. H ah, I purposely chose a topic that he is responsible to do for our group assignment, so that if he did wrongly, i got the knowledge about all those theories and i can help to correct his part. I am bad i know.

Hmmm 提到他就有点不爽@_@

So today, finally we had our final exam for this subject. As usual, your wifey, last min type of person, studied until almost 4am this morning. hahaha

Honey luckily u called me this morning, that I wake up just in time haha.

Well, the exam was stress-free haha because we are allowed to bring our books. Dr. Yeo even suggested us to bring a lorry of books hahaha.

I am kiasu type, i brought 4 books, I think 10 kgs.

At the end of the exam, when I handed in my answer script to Dr.Yeo, honey you know what she said to me? She praised me again. Oh.My.Gosh! It was so unexpectedly! You know she really made my day and I think right there my soul was like flying high up to the sky and feel so heavenly like that... haha

In short, I'm just too happy!

She said: Agnes, you notes are so..... good and that if I can give you 11 marks, I will give you.

Fwahhh can u imagine your respected lecturer actually said this to you?

Wahhh honey I feel like so proud that I dunno how to describe here.

你懂吗？就觉得之前所付出的努力都值得了 ^_^

And she said; can I use it for.... dunno what...?

Yes, of course you may! I'm more than willing hehehe

Sorry I know I'm a bit bangga here but yah.. that's how I feel~

Honey, muacksssssss thank you for all your support too!

In fact, this is not the first time she praised me. Last time when I asked her opinion about changing the mode of my study, from taught course to mixed mode;

she said: i think you can, because I can see that YOU ARE HARDWORKING!

那天去交另外一份assignment的时候
她还说： Agnes, you have been a good student!

Hahaha, honey u know my heart dunno fly to where alr after hearing that LOL!

Hardworking? Haha you know me hahaha always last minute.

So, this is Dr Yeo.

Feel very thankful to her. Such a good lecturer and actually she is not fierce at all HAHA

Ok, i want to get something to eat and study for tmr's paper liao... MOTIVATION!
