It was August.......
Honey, today I woke up about 1.55pm \(^_^)/ I knew it when u tickled this morning before you went to work haha ^_^ but last night was too tired... so after I woke up I still lazily lying on the bed until 2 something. Haha this is how I used to spend my Friday lol
My breakfast ^_^ love the running egg yolk! Can't even take a picture because the yolk was dripping seriously lol
At first, today's plan is to find my sis for lunch (as usual) then spend my mid afternoon at Sasa. Going to use my $30 birthday voucher to get the 《buy one free one foot mask》 and other worthy stuffs. Followed by going to Precious Moments' to collect my birthday vouchers (again) and lastly go to Cold Storage to get some ingredients before going home to cook for u and my dear friend Mong & her lovely son Skyler. Plan to do foot mask with mummy in the afternoon.....
End up... all were cancelled cuz by the time I woke up... mummy already went out @_@ Papa said she is going to cook porridge. Ermmm, I love mummy's healthy porridge.
So,

Cook for u...... somehow cancelled too hahaha
When Mong asked me what to eat tonight... I told her that actually I have been thinking something special that I can make for her... but until last night still no idea @_@
Right that moment... Ahaaa! I got the idea!
《Vietnamese Spring Roll》
This Vietnamese popiah skin has been in the fridge for months OMG.
It's my special order from Tp when he went to Vietnam for business trip, selling beef i always said lol
So, after eating mummy's pork porridge, after chatting with papa about the Special SG50 $50 & $10 notes... I finally made my move to 888 at 3.30pm \(^_^)/ I know it's very late already @_@ nvm Mong is used to my lateness lol
Came back less than half and hour later and I got all these tada...

Okay first thing - let's cook the pork.
I used sesame oil, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce and sugar, all agak-agak only. Simmer until the broth is thicken. Half way, I threw in a few cloves of garlic and some spring onions to enhance it taste and it turned out like this lol
Okay, next is the prawns.
Peel the skin & blanch in hot water for 3 mins and then immediately soak them in the ice water. A tips from dunno where I learnt, it's to ensure the prawns to stay springy and it really works haha! Then, cut them into half and dont forget to remove their veins a.k.a their dabian lol
Prepare all the fillings and now we are ready to do the wrapping!

Oh yea, u got to run tru the skins on warm water to soften them. At first they are like a very thin piece of paper. When they are soften, oh no, hardly manageable @_@

*** Love all the 臭菜s! Vietnamese Spring Roll is definitely one of my favourite dishes!!! Very suitable for ppl who are on diet hahaha~
*** Oh, now I remember why I didn't published until today. It's because my BFF Mong threw me a mini bday celebration at her place that day. I wanted to add all the pictures we took here, but until today...... haven't update this post.
Aduhh life is so busy....
Anyway, thanks for the surprise and I shall dig back those pictures and write another post when im free haha :p
